Seasons as chapters
Live games are episodic whether studios admit it or not.
Chapter notes
At the end of a season, write: “S12 — ranked with two friends, burned out on third week, liked the map pool.” That’s a chapter. Next season gets another.
Status between seasons
Flip to On hold when the pass ends if you’re truly stepping away. Returning players get a cleaner Active list, and your history shows breaks instead of fake continuity.
Rating across seasons
Some players keep one score that drifts. Others rate the game once after a “main” season. Either works if you explain it. Inconsistency without notes is what confuses future you.
Why this helps friends
When someone asks “is that game still good?”, your latest chapter note is more useful than a three-year-old Completed badge.
Playlogs won’t replace patch notes. It can become your personal season almanac — which is the part that usually disappears.
