What Playlogs Is Not (And Why That Matters)

By Playlogs

Not a store. Not a completionist scoreboard. Not an official publisher site. A clear mission keeps the product honest.

What Playlogs is not

Clarity is a feature.

Not a storefront

We link out to stores when metadata includes them. We don’t pretend to sell keys. Cover art and titles belong to their owners; we use catalog data to help you identify games you already care about.

Not a completionist scoreboard

There is no hidden rank for 100% clubs. Completed means you’re done. That definition protects people who play for story, multiplayer seasons, or short sessions.

Not IGDB

We sync discovery metadata from IGDB so the catalog is rich. Ratings on Playlogs are yours. Trending will increasingly reflect Playlogs activity as logs accumulate.

Not an official franchise wiki

Expect occasional category quirks, staggered dates, and missing niche editions. Log notes are the human layer on top of imperfect catalogs.

When a product knows what it isn’t, it stays useful. Playlogs is a media diary for games — personal first, community second, commerce never the point.
