After surviving an air strike by the Feds, Gardener and his friends take refuge in a small town near the Zone, where they face new threats from power-hungry neighbors and a gang of thugs with high level connections. In the aftermath of economic collapse, resources are dwindling and people are getting desperate. Can a child claiming to be a Norse goddess help the gunslinger keep his world safe?
