About This Game

「drowning in a sea of blue」is a short, linear game made in RPG Maker VX Ace, with some puzzle and exploration elements. Walk around a near-abandoned world, talk to [OCTOPUSES], and attempt to convince Mr. Octopus to rebuild it, together with your friends named [FRIEND], [HALF], and [OTHER HALF].

The world is ending. The outside world is a wide expanse of nothingness, reality has been stripped down to concepts, and only four people remain in this hollow shell of a world. Your life as you knew it is unravelling at a frightening pace. To think all this happened because the creator of this world got bored, and decided to scrap it to make something better. Now you, the [MAIN CHARACTER], have to accompany him in idle conversation as he rips apart everything you’ve ever known and loved. To save your friends, you must help him rewrite this story.
