Fallout Online

Other than the fact that it was supposed to be an MMO game set in the popular Fallout-universe, very little was known about Fallout Online. It was canceled in January 2012.

Fallout Online was an unreleased entry in the Fallout series, conceived as a massively multiplayer take on the post-nuclear world. Set generations after the war along the West Coast of the United States, its world spanned the ruined reaches of Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, and Utah. The story would have opened with a catastrophic event that triggered a long chain of disasters, from volcanoes and tsunamis to the spread of the Forced Evolutionary Virus, showing a land still in chaos centuries after the bombs fell. Players would have chosen to live as humans, ghouls, or super mutants, forming guilds and confronting the countless dangers of a wasteland that never stopped unraveling.
