About This Game

Le Fol is a point-and-click narrative game with multiple endings, puzzles, and poetry, featuring neo-impressionist 2D isometric art. Inspired by The Fool’s Journey from the Tarot de Marseille and the city of São Paulo, it follows an unconventional protagonist, exploring the fragility of human connections across eight branching storylines.

The Tarot is a cultural manifestation of multiple and uncertain origins that portrays aspects and archetypes of human life. LE FOL finds its inspiration in the Tarot de Marseille, of French origin, created in the 15th century. The idea for the project came from the artist's identification with the interpretation of the Fool's Journey. Integrating contemporary themes, the game uses art and poetry to explore issues relevant to today's society. The protagonist, apathetic and disconnected from his life, finds in the Tarot a break in rhythm and perspective. Through the choices they make, they face their pain and difficulties, reframes and rediscovers their power and the pleasure of the journey. LE FOL's universe is the meeting of a cold São Paulo and the wild forces of cosmic nature. The contrast between the density and solidity of the big city and the fluidity of the natural world creates a scenario that is both challenging and welcoming.
