Cosmic energies unleashed by the explosion of a SUPERNOVA, have altered the genes of the inhabitants of the planet SCORPIO. The result is a series of mutations that endanger the planet's ecosystem. The Earth sent a team of scientists to try to improve the conditions of these beings, affected by mutations, and if it were possible to make the mutation disappear. But the radiation of the SUPERNOVA has also affected the behavior of these beings, once peaceful and now bitter enemies of the Earthlings. They have shown their hostility by kidnapping the science team, and are forcing them to develop a weapon to destroy EARTH. EARTH has reacted by sending its best RAINBOW-COMMAND, a deadly space warrior, on a mission to rescue the science team and destroy the offensive facilities being built at SCORPIO.
