Palace of a Thousand Curses

Palace of a Thousand Curses is a 2.5D narrative swashbuckling adventure set in an Andalusian fairy tale. You play as a desperate beggar that has been trapped in an old storybook, where you will duel strange creatures, avoid deadly traps, and confront that most unexpected of enemies: the Spanish Inquisition.

In Palace of a Thousand Curses, you play as Rodrigo Al-Ahzab, a poor beggar. Demoralized and starving, you break into a rich merchant's house to steal what you can to survive. When you find an old storybook, you are pulled inside, entering a magical story about a great hero of Al-Andalus, who has entered a cursed Palace to save their kingdom. As you make your way through the deadly Palace, you will encounter strange creatures, deadly traps, and mysterious environments. Slowly, aspects of the Palace will begin to seem familiar, seeming to reflect moments from your desperate life in the real world. And just as you begin to feel like you've come to understand the Palace, you will face an invader into this strange magical world: the Spanish Inquisition.
