About This Game

Quantum Coffee Conundrum is a kinetic visual novel focused on immersive sound and atmosphere, set up like a stage play, offering a dark comedy and reverent pastiche to the Golden Age of Philosophical Science Fiction, in an attempt to blend the industrial cynicism of Harlan Ellison to the Absurdist conflict of Albert Camus and the reality-warping paranoia of Philip K. Dick.

During a mundane asteroid mining job, two space miners get trapped inside a corporate time loop nightmare. Their only way out is to argue and bicker to stay sane, all the while drinking a copious amount of coffee. Set on a grimy corporate mining ship, QCC is a reinterpretation of the time loop genre featuring gallows humor, existential dread, a broad look into Absurdist philosophy and the rise of AI in our current times. The story and banter follow a meta narrative where characters eventually attempt to reclaim authorship over the narrator to break free out of their fate which was sealed the moment the game started.
