Shatterswarm is a narrative-driven 2D space shooter that combines direct ship combat, fleet command, tower defense, and base building into a strategic colony survival experience. Command Captain Hope's hero ship as you defend Earth's last bastion, The Citadel, against the relentless Voxan Empire. Take control of your hero ship in intense 2D space combat while simultaneously building and managing a fleet of ships, constructing defensive networks around your citadel, and managing resources to survive wave after wave of alien invaders. Every decision matters as you balance offensive capabilities with defensive structures, all while facing unique enemy types that require different strategies to defeat. The game features a diverse roster of challenging enemies, each with distinct mechanics: parasites that hack into and take control of your own ships, motherships that spawn smaller vessels, deflectors that fire your projectiles back at you, and robotic enemies that latch onto your ships and tear them apart. Face off against epic multi-phase boss battles against Voxan commanders Gordox, Gudrak, and the dreaded General Mortex. With its perfect blend of action, strategy, and base building, Shatterswarm offers a unique short game experience where tactical thinking and quick reflexes are both essential for survival. Earth, Once a lush planet, teeming with life, is now a burning, desolate ruin. We set out towards the nearest habitable planet, Proxima Centauri B, but we arrived too late. The Voxans rule the solar system with an iron fist. They are a brutal, power-hungry race. Billions of slaves from throughout the galaxy power their war machine, and unless we are careful, we will be their next captives. We have settled on one of Proxima's moons, which will be out home until we decide on our next steps.
