A first-person puzzle horror game set in a defunct children's nursery from 2001. Uncover dark secrets, solve mascot-themed puzzles, and survive the twisted games of Stanley—an animatronic who never stopped playing.
The mascot, Stanley, begins trying to kill you after the mind of the company’s owner, Harvey Lamont, is transferred into him. Trapped inside Stanley’s mechanical body, Harvey slowly loses his sense of self, and the mascot becomes violent and unpredictable. The story takes place inside the largest nursery in America, a once-cheerful facility designed for children. Over time, Stanley becomes responsible for 505 deaths—455 children and 45 adults. Bob, Jay’s close friend, is the third victim, making the danger personal long before the full truth is revealed. Throughout the game, a calm, guiding narrator speaks to the player. What isn’t immediately obvious is that the narrator is Harvey Lamont himself—what remains of his consciousness, fractured and conflicted, trapped between guilt and control. Jay, a mechanical engineer, created the Powerlink, the device the player uses to interact with systems throughout the nursery. What Jay doesn’t realize at first is that the Powerlink is also what allows Stanley—and Harvey—to reach deeper into the facility’s infrastructure, spreading their influence.
