Italian Campaign In 1796, the young General Napoleon takes command of the French Army of Italy — outnumbered and short of supplies — and marches against the Austrian and Piedmontese forces holding northern Italy. The campaign unfolds across the rivers, plains, and Alpine passes of the peninsula. Each battle presents its own challenge: forcing river crossings, storming mountain positions, and breaking larger armies through speed and maneuver. Egyptian Campaign After the triumph in Italy, Napoleon sets out for Egypt to strike at British influence in the East.
