About This Game

Crystal Clear is an open-world Pokémon Crystal ROM hack. The game's gimmick is that Pokémon Crystal has been transformed into an open-world game with a scaling system, with various paths open to allow traversal between the two regions without story barriers or TM requirements. Players can choose between 30 different starters, ranging from the first two starter trios plus Pikachu, baby Pokémon, and challenge starters like Unown or Smeargle. They are also able to choose between different trainer designs and choose their initial starting town. Gym Battles are scaled based on previous badges, meaning that Gyms always match the player's overall progress, no matter the order.
